Today I like to share a documentary film called “FAST FOOD NATION” about fast food industry here in US, tells the story of Don Henderson (Greg Kinnear), the marketing director of the fast-food chain Mickey’s. As it turns out, that is reached with E. coli contaminated meat in the bestseller “The Big One”, it makes itself the task of Henderson to come to the scandal at the track. It begins a journey that changed fundamentally Dons look to his company. In Texas, where the burgers are produced, he must recognize that the insatiable appetite of America on fast food in the truest sense of the word dirty business: Far away from the company headquarters in California, opened to him the bitter reality of illegal immigrants, the truth about brutal slaughter methods and the reasons for the appalling quality of the burger meat. FAST FOOD NATION is based on the eponymous book by American journalist Eric Schlosser, unveiled in 2001 with his best-selling fiction book of the dark side of the “All-American Meal.” Richard Linklater, fascinated and horrified by the subject, soon developed the idea of the book to stage as a feature film. An unusual approach, for which it has also inspired Eric Schlosser immediately. Together with Linklater, he sat down immediately to a dramatization of his factual report.
In this politically charged project was Richard Linklater win an impressive ensemble of international stars. Featuring Greg Kinnear is next to (IT DOES NOT GET BETTER) Catalina Sandino Moreno to see the 2005, with her acting debut MARIA FULL OF GRACE was nominated for the Oscarâ. They are supported by an outstanding cast, containing among others Ethan Hawke (BEFORE SUNSET), Patricia Arquette (Lost Highway), Bobby Cannavale (The Station Agent), Kris Kristofferson (BLADE) and Avril Lavigne, who is in this movie her acting debut. In other cameo appearances are shown including stars like Bruce Willis. All the actors, it was a personal concern to support this film with her performance.
